My Bio
I am an origami hobbyist currently interested in origami design. Whenever I have some free time, I try to improve these skills through the practice of various origami techniques and designing origami models. My designs are often based on whatever strikes my interests, such as video games, television shows, and objects in real life that are not commonly done. This gallery is my way of having my creations and some of my notes online, as well as a way to share with others what I have made. I occasionally accompany my designs with at a crease pattern, and in rare cases a guide or instructions.
Occasionally I'll post designs by other artists that I've folded as interest pieces, which will be indicated in the description and in brackets in the title.

I guess I'll give this a try and leave commissions open for anyone who is interested.
Works are made and shipped to order. If you are interested or have any questions, you may email me (or just send me a note) to ask about or discuss the nature of the order: color, size, paper choice, pricing, etc. Payments of the agreed upon quoted price are done through Paypal.

This varies by difficulty and complexity of the project. Commissions are typically charged per hour with paper and shipping costs factored in. Since I'm fairly new to this, the rate is about $12 per h

Would people be interested in origami commissions? The idea is that a buyer and I would discuss the nature order, and I would fold and ship that model upon purchase.
However, there are a couple issues I could think of with this idea.
The first is related to the nature of the art; at the core, what you're getting is a sheet of paper folded into a specific shape. However, the folding process itself is fairly technical and for most pieces, take a fair amount of time to complete. I'd imagine the primary factor determining pricing be determined by cost of labor per hour to make the model (secondary is paper price). As a result, complicated model

Hi, how are you? i saw how you make a loot of origami and i wanted to ask how you started designing origami. does the book origami design secrets by Robert lang help?
Hi. Depending on where you are in skill level, I would make sure to fold as many models as possible to get experience with how other other origami models are put together and how they are shaped. It helps to get a better understanding of what you can and can't do with the paper. I started designing models through trial and error. I basically just played around with the paper to try to get a basic shape for what I wanted. Basically it was trial and error and expect to go through lots of paper and test folds. And if you make something that you really like, write it down!
Origami design secrets is a fantastic resource for learning the more technical side of designing origami models. However, depending on your skill level, it might be a little dense. If you do get it, go through the chapters and do the folding exercises along with the reading.

thanks for the response! I've been folding origami for a couple of years how and i think the most complex fold i made was the songbird by Robert lang ( i though it was had because it took so long and because of the legs). i have also done some modular origami but i never made any tessellations.
